It's finally time. We've crawled and fought our way through infested tombs, teeth-encrusted castles, infuriating puzzles, and haunted towers all in our efforts to just go home. Finally, our goal is within reach, but we have one final obstacle: the psychopomp that has been dogging us the entire way. It's time to see if we are going to get to go home, or if this is the end. Welcome to the finale of Book 1 of Tyrant's Grasp!

Well that was certainly the welcome we expected coming into a place called Deathbower. Now we just need to face down the gauntlet of Mictena's home before we can finally face her once and for all and get the hell out of this purgatory.

We thought we were done. We thought we had made it. We held out the faintest glimmer of hope that we were going to escape the Dead Roads without having to confront Mictena, but that hope was dashed. Now we've steeled ourselves for the fight for our lives as we head into Death Bower for a showdown.

This fight is going about as to be expected after making our way through this nightmare-filled scriptorium. Mind tricks, misdirection, and miscues mar our efforts to clean out this place, but maybe not all is lost as one of us gets a boost from their past, rather than just being haunted by it.

The finish of this nightmare-filled scriptorium is getting close, we can smell it! Or maybe that's just Thelais sniffing out evil. There was no skipping rooms in this dungeon, and we are paying the price with bits and pieces of our sanity as we finally start our climb up the tower of this haunted place.

We made it through the night, despite some rather strong efforts to the contrary. Now we need to try and figure out why we nearly didn't make it through. We don't recall causing this particular group to have reason to want us dead, so what happened?
